Developed with Yahoo!, Internet@TV uses either a wired or wireless Ethernet connection to access content onscreen from Yahoo!, Flickr, YouTube and more with the push of a button. The widget-based interface and scrollbar run along the bottom of the screen for easy browsing of the latest programs and content. This B650 model also includes a 2 GB flash memory with pre-loaded entertainment features that can be updated by downloading content from Samsung's web site via the Ethernet connection.
You get superb connectivity and networking with 2 USB ports for playing MP3 audio and displaying JPEG/MPEG files, and four HDMI 1.3 ports. The sound is boosted with 15-watt bottom stereo speaker and an integrated subwoofer. Samsung LN46B650 Review is the "best LCD TV" while Samsung 46B650 was rated "better than most LCD TVs" on the market. After watching numerous TVs for about 2 months at various stores, I tend to agree with CNET. Since The Samsung 46B750 was going for $1699, I decided to get the Samsung 46B650 for only $1365.
Beautiful picture out of the box and after some minor adjustments, I could not be happier. I always bought Sony TVs for the last 25 years but this Samsung had a better picture and a better contrast ratio than the Sony 46V5100. I have a 32 inch Sony LCD in my bedroom and the picture on the Samsung is much brighter, clearer and more user friendly. The Samsung stand swivels and is more stable than my non-swiveling Sony stand.
The Samsung remote has a keyboard light button and the menu is easier to navigate. Programming your favorite channels is easy and pressing the favorite button on the Samsung remote allows you to "surf" your favorite channels just like your regular "channel" button. My Sony remote does NOT allow you to surf your favorite channels because you have to press the favorite button on the Sony remote which displays all favorite channels but then you have to scroll down to highlight the channel you want to watch. I did not realize how cumbersome my Sony remote was until I got this Samsung.
I set the dejudder to zero and anti-blur to 10 as recommended by CNET and I have yet to see any blurred picture in fast action sporting events. The colors are bright and perfectly balanced and natural looking. Watching Blu-Ray DVD will amaze you. Watching 480i standard definition on Comcast cable is just OK but 720p and 1080i Comcast cable programming will make you appreciate this TV. The only negative issue that I found is that the colors become washed-out (lighter) if you are watching the television about 45 degrees off angle.
